This White paper looks at how system complexity is increasing, though enterprises deploy more applications to more
endpoints than ever before. Hackers have evolved
from isolated sociopaths into highly organised
groups relying on leading-edge technology.
Finally, IT budgets are growing, albeit slowly:
International Data Corp. (IDC) expects budgets
to increase 3.4% in 2017. So many CIOs are
struggling to find the resources needed to ward
off attacks.
Cloud computing helps IT executives meet
these conflicting objectives. These solutions are
designed on a modern architecture, one much
more fluid than premises-based systems. In
addition, cloud is better able to handle threats
than legacy systems.
To be successful,
CIOs need to overcome their traditional
security (on premises is best) mindset, and
hand management of their most important
applications over to a cloud provider.

Zahlreiche Planungsrunden folgen.

The world has changed. Yesterday everyone had a managed PC for work and all enterprise data was behind a firewall. Today, mobile devices are the control panel for our personal and professional lives. This change has contributed to the single largest technology-driven lifestyle change of the last 10 years.
As productivity tools, mobile devices now access significantly more data than in years past. This has made mobile the new frontier for a wide spectrum of risk that includes cyber attacks, a range of malware families, non-compliant apps that leak data, and vulnerabilities in device operating systems or apps. A secure digital business ecosystem demands technologies that enable organizations to continuously monitor for threats and provide enterprise-wide visibility into threat intelligence.

Move to the Cloud with Confidence
If you are considering the right deployment model for your contact center, economic guidelines can help you choose the solution that is best for your company. Cloud, on-premises or hybrid.
Just a few years ago, businesses were still unsure of the viability of moving their contact centers and other critical enterprise systems to the cloud. Since then, with the decrease of cloud costs, and the corresponding increase in security and, the viability and total cost of ownership of cloud deployments are attracting more and more companies.
This eBook will cover how different criteria can affect a choice between a cloud or on-premises contact center, including:
• The size of your contact center, and business requirements such as customer journey management
• The location and quantity of contact centers being managed
• The need for scalability, speed of deployment, and maintenance requirements

Your ERP system might be out of date and too complex to handle your industry’s challenges. Should you upgrade to an enterprise
management solution? Now you can. Here are 4 reasons why.
The rise of the application programming interface (API) represents a business opportunity and a technical challenge. For business leaders, APIs present the opportunity to open new revenue streams and maximize customer value. But enterprise architects are the ones charged with creating the APIs that make backend systems available for reuse in new Web and mobile apps.
It is vital that all stakeholders understand that the business goals and technical challenges of an API program are intimately related. Program managers must take responsibility for clearly communicating the key business goals of a proposed API to the architects who will actually build the interface.
This eBook outlines best practices for designing results-focused APIs that will form the cornerstone of your API program’s success.

Your global organization’s network of human capital management (HCM)
platforms is the nerve center of your entire enterprise.
But passing data back and forth between disparate HCM systems has never
exactly been easy. So your HR, payroll, talent, benefits and time and
attendance systems, often specific to regions and countries, fire futilely
across data synapses that in real-world terms leave you blind to the true
state of your business.
Enterprise content is growing at an average rate of 200% per year-and the risks of noncompliance are growing even faster. This paper examines the business and technical difficulties of managing content from disparate systems and presents the most viable alternatives for addressing these challenges.
Business runs on content and that content must be managed holistically, across the entire business. However, managing content is, in itself, not enough to drive business. Enterprises must incorporate ECM with other IT management systems to provide complete Business Service Management (BSM).
A recent survey of CIOs found that over 75% want to develop an overall information strategy in the next three years, yet over 85% are not close to implementing an enterprise-wide content management strategy. Meanwhile, data runs rampant, slows systems, and impacts performance. Hard-copy documents multiply, become damaged, or simply disappear.

The mobile device is part and parcel of daily life. It’s fundamentally changed the way consumers behave, and this influence has spread to the enterprise sector as well. For instance, patron-owned mobile devices have largely helped pave the way for the widespread emergence of bring-your-own-device (BYOD) policies. Ten years ago, the idea of a company employee logging into the enterprise system while they’re on an airplane over the Atlantic would seem far-fetched, but today such behavior is relatively commonplace. Mobility is changing how we shop, work and live our daily lives.
The HX Data Platform uses a self-healing architecture that implements data replication for high availability, remediates hardware failures, and alerts your IT administrators so that problems can be resolved quickly and your business can continue to operate. Today, nearly every datacenter has become heavily virtualized. In fact, according to Gartner as many as 75% of X86 server workloads are already virtualized in the enterprise datacenter. Yet even with the growth rate of virtual machines outpacing the rate of physical servers, industry wide, most virtual environments continue to be protected by backup systems designed for physical servers, not the virtual infrastructure they are used on. Even still, data protection products that are virtualization-focused may deliver additional support for virtual processes, but there are pitfalls in selecting the right approach.
This paper will discuss five common costs that can remain hidden until after a virtualization backup system has been fully deployed.

Industrial enterprises around the world are retooling their factories with advanced technologies to boost manufacturing flexibility and speed, achieving new levels of overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), supply chain responsiveness, and customer satisfaction in the process. This renaissance reflects very real pressures industry players face today. For years, traditional factories have been operating at a disadvantage, impeded by production environments that are “disconnected”—at the very least strictly gated—to corporate business systems, to supply chains, and to customers and partners.
